My Sun Man

A depth

That has no compass

I am in your tempest of leaves,

brown, auburn leaves moving so fast,

they catch fire like the sun.

Snoozing in planetary space, you flare

Yet the peace of you entices me,

I am in a void of stars watching you,

Soft, yet with much rage and fire,

that feeds my heart.

I think often what tomorrow will be,

Maybe one day I’ll know,

One day I hope to know.

I know, it will be warm with you,

My sun man.

You render me hot,

The smoke from your leaves

While I float in your space.

Not always close,

but the sun and moon need each other, like creatures and fish need water.

And I am with you as the sun is:

with the moon.
